Hello Angels! Long time no post!
There's a recent mention of Saul on two episodes of Eagleheart - Chris Elliot's surreal comedy airing Thursday nights on Adult Swim. The first was a funny banter between Chris' character (a US Marshall) and an investigating officer. Chris was evading questions by making random statements, one of which was "When will Saul Rubinek finally be recognized for his film work? That man lights up the screen."
The second mention - and probably the most random of all gags in the whole season - was the physical embodiment of "America" kidnapping Chris and taking him on a rampage of violence and drugs. After the end of their journey Chris and 'America' fall asleep in a barn and as America drifts off he has a dream of "...President Saul Rubinek!"
I have a screencap of the image, but I had to add to our Photo Gallery section. Enjoy!
All episodes of Eagleheart are available on the Adult Swim Youtube Channel - BUT BEWARE! The show is not for everyone! (Cartoonish yet strong violence, and adult situations.)

Good morning fellow Artie's Angels!!
As most of us know, the Fright Night Film Festival is at the end of this week.
To get straight to the point of this post, I'm looking to ask someone a favor about the festival, for I am sadly unable to attend. I'm asking if anyone would be willing to get me a signed photo of Saul, and then later mail it to me.
Believe me, I planned on going. I had my hotel reservations made about 3 months ago. Had the money saved up, car was in good shape to go, I was excited and ready! Then, I had a small wreck on June 7th. I'm perfectly fine, but my car got pretty beat up. After fixing it and paying endless amounts of other unnessicary fines/bills, I was still determinded to go.
Then it would seem the forces of nature just didn't want to give up as my 3 bosses at my work left. And the new people are.. well, mean. I informed them that I had put in time off for a "vacation" months ago and was approved for the time off. They rolled their eyes and said, "Too bad." and took that away from me. (Don't get me started on the other BS they've pulled since then, but that's another can of worms I don't feel like opening)
Had to cancel the reservations and accept the fact that I wasn't going because of my job. (Trust me, I don't plan on staying there much longer. *shakes fist at them*)
I will pay for the photo, shipping, etc etc and all the trouble you'd have to go through to get it. Please folks, from one Angel to another.. after all this crap I went through, getting a signed photo of him would mean the world to me to the point I can't express through text.
If anyone is interested, please please PLEASE message me asap.
Please and thank you, everyone~!

(Lame title, sorry)
Whether this is considered a rant or even allowed to be considered "blogging material", I thought I'd share my thoughts here.
It's a real bummer being a fan of something that no one else around you seems to care about. Even worse, makes fun of you for liking it. Now, I understand completely that not everyone likes the same things, but when your own family insults you suddenly for liking a certain actor.. it's rather depressing. They pick on me, make jokes.. and I just don't understand why.
What's wrong with liking a 64 year old actor whom I'm really like?? It's no different than someone liking Hugh Jackman or Johnny Depp, right?? I don't see the difference.
What I guess I'm trying to say is, I'm glad I found Artie's Angels, because I can be myself here. ^^ Talk to others about Saul Rubinek and know they like him just as much as me.
Thanks Artie's Angels!!~!

A good friend of mine that I work with is a very talented artist. AJ is our Graphic Artist/Art Director, and he can throw together a drawing with amazing speed!!
Today he surprised me with this little gem...he said it took him less than 5 minutes to draw, and maybe another 5 on the computer to add the color. If anyone is interested, he does do commissions!!
